In the middle of Winter I find myself in the perfect spot at 9 am. No wind and an amazing view with my feet in the sand. Thats the Coral Casino at the point. Rincon Mountain is the blue lump beyond.

This is the view from the Glider Port above Arroyo Burro. It's not an easy place to paint as its very windy and very sunny there. I had to finish this at home as I couldn't get a good 2nd session up on the hill.

I remember sailing little boats out into the pond when I was young. The garden seemed so big then. Today I watched as the city dwellers and tourists wandered and enjoyed an amazing Spring day. I little hot to stand and paint for 4 hours but the breeze would always come just as I was about to give up.

This is one of the best beaches in Santa Barbara. Its also one of the least visited as you have to walk for 15 min to get there. Not sure about you but I would walk for a few days to get this view.

I never had so much fun down on East Beach. The early bird gets the worm as they say. I was out here(with the birds) from sunrise till around 10am every day for 4 days. Even though it was cold, there was no wind until I was leaving. It was crisp and clear and nearly the same every morning.

This little building kinda sums up Santa Barbara archeticture for me. Its also a nice place to take a break in the afternoon while walking around. The bench in the shade faces a nice view of the mountains.
