"Magical Sky at Hendry's", Hope Ranch, Santa Barbara, California


"Magical Sky at Hendry's", 24x36 inches, oil on canvas, donated for Taste of the Town, live auctioned for $3750! All the money went to support the Arthritis Foundation of Santa Barbara.

I do have limited edition prints available of this painting. There are 23/25 prints left. A full size 24x36 inch giclee on canvas is $600.

I'm claiming this is the best sky I've ever painted. I finally figured out how to add another layer of depth. I really can't wait to get another shot at some dramatic multi leveled clouds!

As the sun moves into the afternoon, the cliff starts to become in shade. Its really a nice moment when it is partially illuminating the cliff and the point is in shadow.
